Walt Disney Personally Signed Letter

An original letter personally signed by Walt Disney and sent from his office at the Disney Studio in Burbank to local student.  In 1965 a fourth grader was asked to write an essay about what great person did the most for America and why, and instead of picking a founding father or President, he chose Walt Disney.  His teacher knew a Disney Studio employee and the boy's essay got passed along to Walt Disney.  Walt showed his appreciation by writing this charming letter to the child.

In ensuing decades the Disney Archives supplied the family with a photocopy of the boy's essay and a photocopy of the note from the Disney employee who passed the essay along to Walt's secretary Tommie Wilck, and these are included.  (The autographed photo Walt mentions is not included).  This touching letter is the original from Walt Disney's office, hand-signed by Walt Disney in blue ink on Walt's personal letterhead.  The letter includes the Phil Sears Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.  Letter is in good condition with some age toning and one horizontal fold above the date.  A delightful letter from the desk of Walt Disney.  Item # 7140, $5495
