In the 1950's the notion of building an amusement park without a Ferris Wheel or Roller coaster seemed like a losing proposition to many, and so the startup money for Disneyland came from Walt Disney personally, not Walt Disney Productions.  That's why Walt Disney formed WALT DISNEY INCORPORATED in December of 1952 as a separate company to design Disneyland and it's attractions.  Roy O. Disney warned that Walt Disney Productions stock holders would complain- or sue- over the Walt Disney name they had invested in being diluted with the formation of Walt Disney Incorporated.  So Walt Disney agreed to change the name of theme park design company to WED enterprises (today known as Walt Disney Imagineering).  "WED" being the initials of Walt's full name, Walter Elias Disney.

Through this legal document, all the Directors of WED waive their right to being informed about a WED Board meeting with more lead time, and they adopt the Minutes of that meeting.  The document is personally signed by Walt Disney and his board members including Disneyland "Windows on Main Street" legends William Cottrell, Royal Clark and Richard Irvine!  Loyd Wright has also signed.

According to D23:  William Cottrell was the first president of what is today known as Walt Disney Imagineering.  During the planning and construction phases of Disneyland, Walt relied heavily on Bill's creativity, wisdom and foresight to make his dream come true. Fellow Disney Legend Marvin Davis once recalled "Uncle Bill," as he was nicknamed by his colleagues, saying "It was Walt who said, "Let there be Disneyland," like the good Lord said, "Let there be a world."  But it was Uncle Bill who was Walt's counselor and right-hand man."  Cottrell directed the wicked witch and evil queen sequences in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and contributed to story on "Pinocchio." In 1941, he joined Walt Disney and a small group of artists on a goodwill tour of South America on behalf of the U.S. Government, which inspired "The Three Caballeros" and "Saludos Amigos," for which he also helped develop story. Bill also contributed to "Victory Through Air Power," "Melody Time," "Alice in Wonderland" and "Peter Pan."  During the 1950s, he carried his interest in story over to Walt Disney Imagineering, where he helped develop story lines and dialog for such Disneyland attractions as Snow White's Adventures.

The younger brother of famous "Walt's 9 Old Men" animator Les Clark, Royal Clark worked his way up from the Disney Studio's shipping department and mailroom.  He became Walt Disney's personal accountant and in 1952 he joined WED Enterprises as its Secretary-Treasurer, eventually becoming Executive Vice President.  He worked for the Walt Disney Company for 43 years, retiring in 1984.  He also served as Vice President of Walt Disney's privately owned company, Retlaw Enterprises.  As part of WED (Disney Imagineering) his contribution was considered so important he was given his own window on Main Street at Disneyland.

As reported on the D23 website:  In 1952, Walt Disney hired art director Richard “Dick” Irvine away from 20th Century Fox to form the team of thousands who would design, engineer, and build Disneyland. In launching the world’s first theme park, Dick helped establish and lead the new team of artists, architects, designers, and engineers, known as Imagineers. Until his retirement in 1973, Dick headed design and planning for all Disneyland attractions, ranging from Haunted Mansion to Pirates of the Caribbean. He also guided the creation of attractions featured at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, including it’s a small world. Dick went on to help shape the master plan and attractions for Walt Disney World and, in 1967, was appointed executive vice president and chief operations officer of WED Enterprises (now Walt Disney Imagineering).

Loyd Wright was a renown Hollywood attorney.  He represented Mary Pickford in her divorce suit against Douglas Fairbanks Sr. He also represented Charlie Chaplin, Jack Benny, Mae West, and D.W. Griffith. From 1921 to 1936, Wright lectured at U.S.C.'s law school. In 1940, he served a year as president of the State Bar of California, and in 1955, served a year as president of the American Bar Association. Wright continued the practice of law, representing Jane Wyman in her divorce with Ronald Reagan.  In 1955, Wright was asked by his friend, Vice President Richard Nixon, to serve as a chairman of the Commission on Government Security. He did, and the Committee recommended a thorough overhaul of government defenses against subversion. Wright served for ten years from 1954 as president of the International Bar Association.

This September 1956 one page document is in very fine condition with binder holes on the left side.  A rare collection of early Disneyland planners and organizers from the company that became Walt Disney Imagineering.  Includes the Phil Sears Collectibles Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.
