Donald Duck Print
 One of only 100 Prints

A beautiful display piece!  An exceptionally fresh-looking autographed print of Donald Duck being his usual irritable self.  Back in Walt's day the Disney Studio made these high quality dye-transfer prints to give as high-end promotional items.   Dye-transfer prints capture all the vibrant colors of the original cels (and are often mistaken for cels).  Walt signed this matte in crayon, choosing a color that complimented the scene.   


The Walt Disney studio produced only a limited number of these high quality prints- the label on this one states it is one of only 100 produced.  Many of these prints went unsigned, others were signed by Disney employees signing on behalf of their busy boss, but a rare few- such as this wonderful piece- were personally autographed by Walt Disney. 

It is especially nice- and adds to the value- that this one is not inscribed (does not read "To Frank," etc.).  

Included is the original Disney Studio authenticity label, identifying the image as being from the 1943 cartoon "Der Fuehrer's Face."  In fact this scene is not in the cartoon, but these prints were originally labeled in this manner to promote the World War II era cartoon short. 

Today these prints are prized by collectors as one of the most attractive and displayable of all Walt Disney autographed items.  Donald Duck's easily irritated personality made him so entertaining that Walt Disney produced almost three times as many Donald Duck cartoons compared to Mickey Mouse cartoons!
