Mickey Mouse Print!

Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse-- the two icons are inseparable.  Walt felt such a kinship with the little Mouse he even provided Mickey's voice in the early years.  In 1953 John Hench created a painting of Mickey to honor his 25th anniversary.  A limited number of prints were made and never sold-- but given by the Disney Studio to select recipients as special gifts. 

This LARGE and handsome dye transfer print of Mickey from the Walt Disney Studio is boldly autographed by Walt Disney on the matte in brown crayon.  These high-quality prints were not available to the general public, but instead created at the Walt Disney Studio for promotional purposes (gifts to top-selling film salespeople, entertainment reporters, charity auctions, etcetera).  Many of these prints went unsigned, others were signed by Disney employees signing on behalf of their busy boss, and a rare few- such as this wonderful piece- were personally autographed by Walt Disney.  Walt has inscribed the print in his famous block printing:
