This special autograph has a unique Disney family connection! The former owner explains it in an email which is included: "While living in Scottsdale, AZ I came to know Victoria Lund who was the granddaughter of Walt Disney. While visiting her home at the Arizona Biltmore Estates she handed me 3 pieces of paper.* The pieces of paper were pages from a small note pad. She explained to me that her grandfather used to pre-sign them and take them to the park where he would give them to children. She stated that they would be valuable some day and to hold onto them... I hope they will be enjoyed by others as I’ve had them since about 1999... " *Note: The owner mentions three autographs; ONE is included in this offering. Twenty years ago I mentioned in my article in E TICKET MAGAZINE that Walt Disney kept note paper like this on his desk, and when he anticipated going into a crowd of autograph seekers- at Disneyland for example- he would sometimes sign these note sheets in advance and put them in his pocket. This way he could pass them out and get through a crowd of autograph seekers without getting bogged down. According to inside sources, after Walt Disney's passing a few of these autographed-in-advance sheets were found among Walt's personal effects and distributed to members of the Disney family. Walt’s printed name and the Mickey Mouse logo make this note sheet extremely desirable- it literally comes from a notepad Walt used on the desk in his office! Walt is associated with Mickey Mouse more than any other Disney character, yet Mickey Mouse items autographed by Walt Disney are surprisingly uncommon. Any Mickey Mouse item with Walt Disney's autograph is highly-prized by collectors, making this piece a treasure!
